Throwing pots. Throwing pans.

Big day. Lotsa making. First, we revisited an old family pastime: making pottery. We headed over to Laconia Pottery (where Mike is a huge help) and proceeded to get muddy. Coupla good photos. I made one vase and D made 2 cute little pots. Frustratingly fun.

BIG night. This was our family's take on "Iron Chef". Hm. Interesting.

My mom's crazy idea turned into a great time and great meal. 2 teams, 3 meats, 1 hour. Oh, and it was boys vs. girls. Eric, Michael and I made 4 dishes with only the ingredients of our lakehouse pantry and our collective whim: Seared Scallops with caramel ginger sauce and citrus fennel salad.
Since our dad was the judge, clearly we had to make him a cheesesteak homage (served in a brilliant roasted red pepper bun, a la Eric and Michael).

Asian salmon burger with soy sauce and "Lucky horseshoe" avocado.

And finally, Eric's amazing chicken satay with spicy mixed nut sauce.

Enjoy.
